Girlfriends

Friends are something I couldn't live without. I hate being alone. But luckily I have don't have to worry about being alone. I have lots of friends, and my BFF. My friend Elanore lives in Florida, and she is one of my all time best friends. I've always thought of her as my sister. But her parents are missionaries so she is always moving. But I have always admired the way she handled life. She was the perfect sister, daughter, and Christan girl. At least in my eyes.
Then there's my friend Ellie. We have been best friends for seven years. I like to make her laugh. She is the best friend I could ever have! We have had seven years of fun filled times... I LOVE MY BFF! We hang out together we go to youth group together, we do everything together.
My friend Becca is the one I talk to about growing up sort of things the most.(My BFF doesn't want to grow up). I like to talk to someone my age about things girls my age talk about. It just feels better to express myself to someone who is going through what I'm going through. And I like to socialize with lots of other friends. I have friends at co-op, at church, and other places. My friend Abby is eighteen, and she is going to college soon. I don't know how I'll do without her. She has been a good friend for the last five years, and I look at her and see myself in five years. She told me that the idea of leaving her home and family and going out in to the world scared her.( And I don't blame her.) I can't imagine leaving my family. =O
I am very lucky to have as many friends as I do. And I thank God for every one of them.

Feelings

Feelings are complicated. I have very fragile feelings like most girls my age. I cry for no reason, I cry over things not worth crying over, and I just cry more easily when we're on a touchy subject. I don't want to cry in front of people.
But I'm a teen-age girl - what do you expect? Emotions aren't something you should be afraid of. They are just part of life.Growing up is part of life.Whether I'm sad, mad , happy, confused, overwhelmed, or just plain tired, I know there are people who want to help me out.

But sometimes emotions can get out of control, and I need to learn how to deal with things like anger, and not take it out on other people. Sometimes I feel like my emotions aren't my fault, and they aren't. But the way I take them out on people is.

Trying to sort out all your feelings can be hard. Knowing where to put what feeling, and which are the most important. Sadness, confusion, and feelings for other people. Feelings for other people are ones I find the most confusing. And it makes me think, why am I having these feelings? Is it just a part of growing up? The answer is yes. Starting to like someone (a boy) is just a part of life. I don't feel embarrassed because I know it's me growing up.

Evolution fails

When I hear the word evolution, the first word I think of is: ridiculous! They say that over billions and billions of years, everything we have today evolved. I think the theory of evolution is ridiculous because:

1.Man's complex body. Anyone who studies the body knows that they are very detailed. God thought of everything from the bone structures down to to the reproduction of cells. The heart, lungs, mouth, eyes, digestive system, skeletal system, hair, nails, and the whole body, obliterates any theory evolutionists use.The detail of the human body is so amazing, that it was enough to tell me there is a creator (plus I have been raised Christian my whole life)/

2. The idea that nothing formed something is illogical. I'm a twelve year old girl, and I know that! I think that evolutionists are trying to force their opinion on the people of the world. No I take that back - I know they are!

3. The animals' instincts. How do they know that they need to get food to survive? How do they  know how to hunt? How do they know which animals are predators?

4.There are some animals that just defy evolution. The giraffe is an example. Watch this short video to see what I mean.

5. The beauty of the world: the mountains, trees, plants, flowers, fruits, vegetables. The variety of all these, plus the beauty of them all, couldn't be formed from nothing! The ability they have to know how to work, grow, and live out their natural life is absolutely amazing!

The whole world, and everything that's in it, shouts I HAVE A CREATOR. It's just a matter of are we going to listen to them, and God?

And all of this does have a Creator. The Lord Jesus Christ. He is the maker of every living thing. All the trees, plants, mountains, stars, and the sky. And everything, and every one, was made by God. And no evolutionists can tell me otherwise.

Dramatic youth

The tittle tells you my exact my personalty.

Life with me is........interesting. To put it simply,I have played in two plays, and hope to be in another VBS play this summer.

My parent's say I have had twelve years of experience in drama =)

I really like to over express myself  in a....let's say it in a loud way. I like me that way though; it's my personalty. Although, sometimes I take it overboard and my mom tells me to calm down.

Being a growing teen I need to express myself and have fun, and that's what I intend to do, (or already have) in my teenage life.

I love to be dramatic!

All friends all call me Miss Volume, ha,ha! I love to be LOUD!
The first play I was in was western. That was last year, and I had a lot of lines. It was a fun play to make because we had to use accents and cool old-fashioned costumes. Luckily nobody had to be the horse.=)  I had the best time at that play. My name was Petunia Periwinkle!
There were lots of people that teased me about my name, but I didn't mind, because I knew they were joking.

I was in another play last semester called the Twelve Angry Pigs (adapted from Twelve Angry Men). We all had to wear pig noses and decide whether the big bad wolf was guilty or not. We performed that at our co-op, and it got a million laughs.
The few drama performances I've been in, I have loved doing,  and I hope to do a lot more. SOON!

Challenges

Challenges in teen life is something I find a lot. Trying to knock down, or jump over challenges, is hard.

That why I need God's help in the steps of my life as a teenager (and throughout life).

And I know He wants to help me over every stone I stumble on, and to help me back up when I fall on life.

I need him to be there, to help me push through, and not turn back. God is there to guide me through the blizzards of life, emotions of a young  teen, because He cares. He helps everybody take steps they never took before.

When I have problems or troubles, the people I turn to are my Parents, and the Lord to guide me.  Like in relationships - I   turned to my mom for that. She has gone through the exact things I was going through. So we sat down and had many talks about that sort of thing.

I like talking to my mom, and the Lord, about challenges, problems, and dilemmas. Life seems so weird and sometimes hard. Like now, my challenge is trying to figure out how to stay focused on God, and not on anybody else.Which may sound easy to the ear, but not to the heart.
Everything changed when I turned ten two years ago, responsibility popped up, problems floated around in my head, emotions  overcame me, and as I got older those things happened more often. They were overwhelming me. And that's when I took a deep breath and realized everyone has some problem holding them back, and we have to let God help us get through it.

But, then again, God never said life would be easy, but He also didn't say it would be impossible.

My brother

My brother drives me NUTS! I know he is a gift from God, but sometimes I don't feel like it, he is nice when he wants to be. And I love him but thing can go all wrong with us. We use to have a good relation ship when we were young, but as we got older we got meaner and meaner to each other. When we fight it wears my mom down, and I feel bad about exhausting her with our fighting. But sometimes I just can’t help it (maybe that’s not true). To me it seams he is nice to everybody but me (this is not always true).

Sometimes I wish we were a whole decade apart.

My friend Rebecca doesn’t understand; she thinks my brother is nice. He is. To her (and to me, sometimes).

We get along…sometimes. And I think most of the time it’s his fault when we start a fight, but my mom always says:

“It takes two to fight.” and I suppose it's my fault, as much as his. But I feels like it's always his fault most of the time.

But sometimes I feel like I can’t help it. Like the other day my brother was insulting my singing voice so much it made want to cry. He would put his hands over his ears and shout, "LA, LA, LA," and when I start to sing he says, “somebody turn off that horrible music." He said that if people heard me sing that they would feel the same way as he did. That's just one example!

But when we do get along we have lots of fun! I guess when we get started fighting it's the worst. =(

Lord help us through this breach in relationship…..and help us to feel like the other really is a gift from you.

And don't forget to check out www.coffee in the garden. blogspot.com (Christen Myers is my mom)

The amazing angels

I believe in Angels. But yet when somebody says they saw an angel, or they are an angel, we call 911! It’s  strange, why do we think seeing an angel is so impossible? Maybe it’s because we never seem to know where they are.

An angel could be the office man behind you, or that random passer-by. Angels appeared a lot to people in biblical times, like when the angels appeared to the shepherds on the night of Christ’s birth, and lots of other times. Why not now?

For he will command his Angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Psalms 91:11

Hebrews 13:2
Do  not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained Angels without knowing.

So even in the bible says we will not always know when angels are among us.  (I will never be the same way to strangers ever again.)

But the Lord said his angels watch over us.

When I was little I used to imagine all these bright angels standing guard around my room with glowing swords. And, thinking of them and God watching over me in the night helped me sleep.

And if somebody asked me if I was afraid to die, I would say NO! I believe in God, so I look forward to going to be in heaven. God put so much Amazing detail in to the world, but saved the best for heaven. And someday I will get to see heaven and Gods angels too. And what do I have to do?

                                                 …..Believe….
