Prayer

Prayer today in are community, is often misinterpreted is that the word? People who aren't Christians or are new Christains will say "I don't know how to pray." Prayer isn't somthing you learn it's somthing you do. It's not some big elaborate worship ceremony, it's you talking to God. Thats it, you talking to God.

I learned something new about prayer in my devotions the other day, God  know every thing you are going through, every blessing you have been given, and every challenge you must over come. So instead of pouring out all your worries and doubts, ask him for peace and wisdom on what you should do.And thank him for his blessings.

Matthew 6:6

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

And prayer is something we should do all the time, good and bad. It's easy to remember to pray when you are having a bad time, you have a hard decision to make, your going through some bad times. But we need to pray in good times too. Trust me I know how hard it can be just to stop on a normal day when nothing is bad nothing is super grate, and pray.

 Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Prayer is the best way to talk to God (unless you have his phone number, ha ha just kidding) you can confess your sins, ask for guidance, courage, faith, strength, wisdom, hope, and thank him for your blessing.

I am thankful for prayer, what are you thankful for?

Prayer is such a gift. We can tell God anything--and the best part is, he WANTS us to pray to him! He wants us to have a relationship with him. He speaks to us through his Word, and we reply in prayer. What a blessing!
